Germany supports Morocco's solar plan

The Federal Government will contribute to financing the first large solar power station in Morocco. A first agreement was signed yesterday (14.12.2011) between the KfW Entwicklungsbank and the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy.

On 2 December 2011 the Development Bank of Latin America and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit signed a memorandum of understanding on the joint provision of support to national governments in Latin America for developing and implementing nationally appropriate mitigation actions in the transport sector. The International Climate Initiative is contributing via the TRANSfer project.

Start-up financing for climate investment

As part of its International Climate Initiative, the German Environment Ministry is providing ten million euros as endowment capital for the ‘Future of the Carbon Market’ foundation being established by KfW Entwicklungsbank.

The media project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) through the ICI. 

ICI presents

The Chilean government is making state-owned properties available for private investment in generating renewable energies. A project aiming to develop suitable sites in the north of Chile is receiving funding from the International Climate Initiative.
