International Climate Protection Scholarships for Young Management Professionals from Developing and Emerging Countries
Multinational and cross-sectoral cooperation arrangements are essential if we are to meet the challenges of climate change successfully. Young management professionals from emerging and developing countries outside Europe are a particularly important target group for intensive, long-term cooperation in the field of climate protection and resource conservation.
The International Climate Protection Scholarship programme is aimed at young managers from the fields of science and economics, and from public and private organisations. It is intended to promote exchanges of knowledge, methodologies and technologies within the field of climate protection and resource conservation. Each year, up to 20 scholarships will be sponsored. Besides carrying out a research project of their own choosing in the field of climate protection and resource conservation at a host institution in Germany, the recipients of the scholarships can also benefit from training courses and internships with companies, public administrations and other institutions.
As well as helping them to acquire sectoral and methodological knowledge, the programme also promotes networking, among the beneficiaries and with experts in the different areas and institutions. Applications for the scholarship programme can be made with immediate effect.
