Getting involved in climate protection: National Climate Initiative projects in Germany.

We can all play our part in climate protection, each in our own individual way. To this end, numerous projects have been developed so far, with many others to follow.

These projects range from energy-aware and climate-friendly behaviour and the use of efficient technologies and renewable energies, to measures relating to all aspects of mobility. Many projects for private German households receive support and funding.

Climate protection offers diverse opportunities for local authorities too. For this sector in particular has enormous saving potential in terms of energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. An investment in climate protection means a permanent cut in energy costs, for instance in town halls, swimming pools, schools and other public institutions.

In the National Climate Initiative environmental and economic interests go hand in hand. The use and development of new technologies in companies based in Germany is supported, in order to increase competitiveness and create and secure jobs.
